Please do not use APTHOST The errors and downtime are bad but worst ever was the server migration They warned customers that a server migration was to take place but will not effect customers. Now i ran a school website for local school Next day i get hundreds of angry calls from parents, every website i owned on one server had hardcore porn on it, including the childrens website. I contacted Apthost they said they made a dns error during propagation and resolved it within 24 hours. I lost the contract for the school, i got punnished on all sites by searchengines and narrowly avoided prosecution. They would not even apologise for this massive error. So what did they do? They then start telling me my useage is too high so cut me off? I only get 700 visitors max a day, infact the weather site had twice that alone earlier in the year during the snow. The staff do not have a brain cell between them, they are incompetent and arrogant. I moved to Godaddy hosting, im really not worried about who i host with as nothing can be as bad as APTHOST. I was with them when i first heard horror stories about them, so decided to stay. Big Mistake i should have left straight away. IF you are with them move now, as its a nightmare to leave later trust me. APTHOST need to be put into administration and i would not like anyone to lose all their work when it happens So if your with APTHOST get out now, if you were thinking of hosting with APTHOST don't.

Believe or not apthost the worst thing i have ever tried in my life in dealing with internet services and hosting. it is almost 2 months so far to request for a domain access for my domain. called them more than 20 times and I still dont get what u need. tried to transfer my domain and they claim the email the information go is different than what i have in profile!

I am looking for a good law firm so l can take legal action against apthost. My server crashed 4 times in the last 30 days and now it's been 2 weeks my sites are offline and even after l did an upgrade, they can not get my sites back online and l believe they have lost all my data. I also have thousands of dollars invested on both sites and there is no way l can replace everything l had on both sites. I had full backups that were done a couple days before the crash and they can not find it or even get the old server online so we can try to rescue what was there. They are by far the WORSE company out there and have no respect for customers. I am currently researching online to find a reliable law firm in order to take legal action against them. PLEASE AVOID APTHOST AT ALL COSTS.

APT Host complaints Global Webmaster since 1993. From over 4 years with APT host I can honestly say that we have lost literally thousands of dollars due to this companies negligence and corrupt billing process. When I purchased supposedly 2 separate class ip VPS accounts, I found out after two years later they added it on to my VPS account (same class ips) and charged me for two accounts an space. Now where I come from that is fraud. Their only answer after threatening them with a class action law suit was... sorry we made a mistake and will refund the money. Now 2 years later, still no refund. Apt Host are crooks! Use your head and Google search "APT HOST Complaints" on about how these crooks do nothing but rip hard working people off. What comes around. The funny thing is? The client they ripped off is a Canadian billionaire. How dumb can you get?

After a very shaky start with AptHost (about 5 months ago), things seemed to be getting better. As others said, downtime has been a huge issue. A few weeks ago, the CEO sent an email to all clients (tacitly) saying he knew things needed to improve. Based on that email, I decided to stick it out and see how things went. That was a horrible decision. Downtime is still an issue. But, what happened to me today was the last straw. I logged onto my site to find a "Suspension" notice due to billing issues. My account is actually pre-paid until 2011. But, now anyone that visits my site will think I'm a deadbeat that doesn't pay his host. Once I finally got someone to answer the phone, I was told it's not a billing issue. Rather, it is an alleged spam issue. Since I don't use email on the site, it may have been hacked (not that I can tell because they won't give me access). The biggest issue I have, however, is that they opened a ticket expecting a response from me. But, they sent my account information on the ticket to a random email address! Instead of contacting me via the email address on the account, they sent the ticket (and attached error logs) to a third party. Completely unacceptable.

The ONLY good thing about this hosting company is their prices. Their support team sucks. At first, when I first signed on with them, they were great. Very helpful, their phone support was good. Every time they changed servers, or had any issues with their servers, my sites would go offline. And it would take hours and days for them to get back to me to fix the situation. These people are terrible. I would never recommend them to anyone. I recently lost all of my data because they moved to a new VPS system. There was no way for me to check my sites, or my clients sites. When I asked them where to find such stuff, they never answered me. They did refund my money. But it will not replace the stuff I lost including a client. Most hosting companies back stuff up before they move accounts. I am glad I left, but unfortunately, there are a lot of shady hosting companies out there and you just dont know who is reputable and trusting anymore.

They never pick up their phones and their online support is some guy in India that is totaly clueless. APTHost has caused my company to lose thousands of dollars and I am currently in the process of taking legal action against this host.

Beware of down time with this host, in seven months of hosting with them I experienced 20% downtime. Once they even managed to lose all my site files when moving it unknowns to me to a new server. Whilst the pricing is good it's just not worth the hastle

I really dont have words to write abt this host. The worst host i have ever seen. Worst support.....no reply on phone,email,ticket,IM...no never in my life. My server was down from the past few hrs (prob 4-5hrs) and nothing has done nor nothing is communicated to me how longs its gonna take or what is the problem. it costed me hundreds of $$$ to my business just becaused I opted for apthost. If only i would have gone with a much realiable host.....

I have signed up with this company few weeks ago, and I have been impressed with their support. The ordering process is pretty simple and easy to follow, and I got my answers though the FAQ section for few things, and got the rest from the support, which they are very helpful on resolving two sticking issues I have. The server, which my account is setup on, it had one short downtime, which I was told due to the kernel update to close the security hole that was posted recently from http://lwn.net for the 2.6.x kernel series. After checking though SSH, I see they are being honest about that, and I appreciate their pro-active stance on security on the server. I would recommend them to anyone who like to have good server with good prices and stability. I did note the other reviews about this company, but I did notice one comment from one reviewer who said they have change of management and noticed improvements in the company over the few months. So I decided to give it a shot and been happy with it.

I've signed up with them as I've read a few good reviews about them less than 2 months ago. I wish I had not. I started a small Video site and since they were advertised as a good Media hosting company, I thought I'd use them. In the first 4 weeks, they were helpful. Tech support was on the ball, the site was up as far as I could tell. Then the speed started to drop on the streaming/uploads and outages started when I logged in during the day. I setup a monitoring service and the site was down every 2-3 days for HOURS on end. After contacting apthost service multiple times, I started getting excuses like "It's working from our end" and the like. The past week my site has been down 4 times for over 7 hours total time. They claim server load, a hard drive crash, abusive clients actions shutting down port 80 that they don't notice for 1/2 a day after submitted tickets, etc.. STAY AWAY FROM. I'm backing up my data and leaving ASAP. -GB

I signed up for Apthost about 1 year ago and I can tell you that their service is consistantly horrible. > Downtime all the time > Always saying their hard drives are being replaced > Support is very bad > They take their sweet time getting back to you > No one answers their tech phone support... ever! I have dealt with quite a few hosting companies over the years...and to be quite frank... very few have been really "good"... But my opinion is that Apthost is far below average. I would make every effort to find alternative hosting before going with them.

Do not host with apthost! You may save a buck or two for them being on the well priced side, but it will cost you far more in clients and uptime and reputation. I have left them with 3 months left on my year contract. Problem resolution is terrible. The quick fix of saying "The problem will resolve in x hours" is the common cure to anything, and then two days later... oh just wait another day. 8 days later, oh sorry we cant do anything about that. By which time your clients think you are a fool. I have had disrupted email for the passed FOUR months! My clients cant send email because the server is always blacklisted. There is alot of server downtime. There seems to be no tracking of a history with the client, there is no form of "Hmmm Mr.x has had quite a few problems lately, lets go out of our way to try solve them." After nearly tearing my hair out due to their server always being blacklisted, they eventually tried moving me to a new server, and guess what... my mail couldnt send because they hadnt opened up a port. The first 14hours were spent saying oh ...its just the DNS propogating, give it some time. I think 3 days later i had a resolution, i am not sure, i was too busy paying another host to migrate too. At the end of the day i feel horribly ripped off. I have paid for a year and have been forced to cut my losses and leave an already paid for service to sit and rot away.

Okay I been developing and marketing sites for over ten years. Some of companies I have developed sites for are ABC, ESPN, FSN and many others. I started using apthost over a year ago.. Everything was fine. Honestly NEVER had a problem. Then a month and a half ago comes around and this company honestly has TANKED. To begin with 2 of my clients sites were down for 3 days because of a tech that I got an email telling me is no longer with the company and that a back up 3 days old had to be installed on the servers. Okay I am thinking that not bad 1 year .. 2 days down.. Whatever. Then yesterday occurs. MY PERSONAL SITE. I have 10k invested into is GONE.. Like GONE GONE.. I contact customer support. No answer.. Phone, Ticket, IM.. Nothing. Then today I get a message saying the server had a hard crash 3 weeks ago and that there was nothing they could do.. THATS ALL I GET.. I ask to speak to a manager on the phone, or anything of that nature.. NO LUCK.. Then a new client signs up with them and they send a bill but don't send his server login details. I call NO ANSWER.. I email.. NO ANSWER.. I im and get we are resending. Now 3+ hours later.. NO EMAIL.. HONESTLY they lost a site I paid over 10k dollars to have developed. If I don't get word from them soon I promise I am calling a class action lawyer and will get all names and numbers of users and OWN THE COMPANY.. This is just not right. First of all what sort of hosting company keeps the backup files on the same drive as the files themselves.. HELL APPLE.. APPLE PEOPLE.. tell its customers to back up on a separate drive.

You get what you pay for and some more. my site was down for 4 days they keep telling me a diffent story, that the site will be up today, then 24 hrs, then 36 hrs, that all my data and files where safe and after 4 days, they asked me if i have a back-up of my website data because my files where lost.

Our parent company hosts nearly 30 sites with APThost - some of our own and some are client websites. So, we have a very good idea about hosting from APThost, whether it's shared or VPS. Word of caution to anyone wanting to host with this provider. Go somewhere else! Several of our sites experience more than 20% downtime (via external monitoring tools and personal checks) and our VPS account for FindNews.org says that we get 3MB of burstable RAM, which we do not after a more thorough investigation by two sys admins with 15 years of combined experience (one of them actually works for Hostgator, so he is top notch). I think that we are in the position to start moving all of the sites we host with APThost to one or several other servers within the next few weeks. Support is OK, but what gets me is the vague and dodging of direct questions in support tickets, even after several emails to try to get them to answer basic questions. This really sucks as it costs everyone lots more time. Why not just answer simple questions the first time around? Anyway, not happy with them over the past 6 months. Will be moving elsewhere.

The worst host on the planet. No productivity with this host and they keep on taking money from your bank account, long after you cancel their web hosting... their TOS states that YOU cannot cancel with them UNLESS THEY confirm it and they won't confirm it until they hit your bank account a time or two after you stop using their services.

I believe that this company does not have the capability to maintain servers. Downtime is a HUGE issue with my sites. I have four main sites hosted with them, and I constantly have to contact them about downtime, blocked IP's, software updates that screw with my video sharing sites... It's a nightmare. Most of the times, when the site was down, or not functioning properly, I would have to research issues myself, and tell them how to fix things. Being stubborn, four or five days later, they give me some horrible excuses and use my original idea I researched for them. It's a hit and miss with this site as I see that some people are lucky enough.

I have used many others host's in the past and they all had some problem or another with them. I have been with Aphost for 6 months now and they really impress me. I am pretty much a novice when it comes to alot of the different things like mysql,and other areas. They have allways been there with a quick resolution to my questions and problems that I did not know how to fix or address. I use them for 5 different sites on one account and everyone of them run flawlessly. If your looking for reliable low cost hosting for your site. "LOOK NO FURTHER" One happy customer here. I had a great time at apthost, the best customer service ever, site uptime was perfect, everything was perfect untill i had limited data left for my video sharing website, i had to leave and go to VistaPages! Now i am having the worst experiences here at vistapages .... If only apthost can provide higher storage and bandwith at a average or good price i will come back for sure ..... I would recommend this hosting service to anyone starting a small business.

Warning to who ever wants to use this host for video hosting. I signed up with them and had a shared account. Soon i found out that shared account is useless as my sites never use to run on them they told me my sites need more reources to run so i signed up with them for a dedicated server at start things were going fine then after a month my sites went down when they came back alive all my videos were lost. Then i still didnt loose hope in them after 3 months sites were running well and now again all my websites which were more than 4 websites had thousands of videos all lost .. total waste of my time and money on this host.

I have been with AptHost for some time now and thought it was time to give them a review. The main thing that stand out for me with APT is the support, its as ive added perfection. Im fairly new to ffmpeg and the support staff helped me come to terms on how to use it. Uptime is amazing, the servers are top notch! not some cheap crap that i have been on before with other hosting providers. Package plans are not the cheapest around, But im a firm believer that you get what you pay for, so I would rather pay that little extra for quality and a reliable service and I get that with APT.

I have multiple sites hosted (note to admin domain referenced is not the primary) and have never experienced any noticable downtime. My oldest site is 8 years old so I have dealt with a few hosts in my time. It is nice to find a host that feels like "home".

For about 3 months now we have had out whm/cpanel dedicated with them. Uptime has been excellent and when something happens if anything support is on top of it. I was unhappy with my last host so I switched to apthost. It took me a while to get my site switched over, but I am loving apthost. There support will work with you until you get your problem fixed, but sometimes it does take them a while to get back to you. For the cost, you really can't beat it, you get tons of bandwidth and disk space, plus you can have your own youtube site.

AptHost Communications would be my forth hosting provider I have been with over the last 2 1/2 years. I wish I would have found them from the beginning. They have affordable hosting, excellent service, and a great staff. They communicate really well with their clients. I am glad to be one of them. I hope this hosting provider continues to keep up with the way its running. If they do I don't see why I wouldn't stay with them for many more years. As I said before great prices, and reliable service. Plus the wide range of services they offer.

Basically, DONT use them. Their support is terrible. They told me they could host a youtube clone, they have all the wrong softare installed. A popular error was if i uploaded 3gp videos the audio wouldnt work, I had to research it my self and tell them it was an error with one of their encoders. Its been nearly 4 weeks and still hasnt been fixed.
