HE was my first hosting company at $10/month and I had two accounts with them many years ago. When a CMS that I wanted to try didn't install because the version of PHP was too old, I was told that they weren't going to upgrade the server that I was on and the way to get the latest version of PHP was to cancel the account and get a new one. But a new account incurred a setup fee which I found unacceptable and moved to another host.

One of the biggest complaints about Magento's open source e-commerce site is speed. On HE servers speed has been the least of my worries. I even have the entire site in the secure folder. Any time that I needed to call support, the were very pleasant and helpful. Only complaint is the lack of a C-Panel or Plesk type of control panel
