There are many things they don't reveal until after your with them - I run a Wordpress site on their server and I only have the normal hosting package. Now they want me to upgrade so my site doesn't go down everytime I upload. PHP Query is limited on non Wordpress hosting plan. I am switching as soon as I find a decent provider! Even though I have another year and a half left on my account...

I transferred to another host because page load times were so slow. It took forever to write a new post as saving drafts was also very slow. Response to support queries were very bland. Not very helpful. It took at least a few hours to get a response to all tickets submitted.Glad to be moving on.

choosing ipage was a big mistake, for one whole day my vps was down because of their technical issue and it happened frequently.
this is just cheap but you get nothing.

I wanted cheap hosting... They have a very cheap introductory year.
After the first year, I found it costs more to continue using them.
They crash once every two to four weeks.
Their server speeds are average, to below average, whenever they work, and their database speeds are extremely slow!
Their mysql server is located in another country... They admitted it to me!
If you want to test what I'm saying is true, do a tracert to metrotechsolutionsu.ipage.com (I get a horrible 14 hops from AZ, USA) then visit metrotechsolutionsu.ipage.com and click on "Store". It takes 40+ seconds to finish loading from where I am.
I've moved all of my site's elsewhere, am currently using my account with them as a cheap online storage dump.
STAY AWAY FROM IPAGE!

iPage, and their sisters sites PowWeb and FatCow are, in my opinion, hosts to stay away from. There a number of things they don't tell you up front when you host with them. One of the most important for me was that they do not disclose that they don't offer Cron Jobs. If you want to set up a membership site, or use a Wordpress or standalone Autoresponder, don't use iPage. I spent over three weeks and close to $4000 setting up my 17 websites, only to discover that not only could I not market to my lists, I could not set up my new membership site either. When I approached them with this issue, they told me they would not offer cron jobs, nor would they move me to their one sister site that does offer them. I HIGHLY recommend everyone stay away from this company. They may use green energy, but they don't care about their customers whatsoever.

I have been with iPage for about 2 months now. I have accounts with 1and1.com, TMDHosting.com, and Godaddy.com, and was looking for something a little better. My site at iPage has gone down every single week due to server error. Load time is the slowest I have ever experienced.
