Hidden fees, Terrible support & live chat and downtime have all caused me to being the process of transferring my domains away from JustHost.

I see a lot of other reviewers have echoed my thoughts on hidden fees so I won't say much other then to tread cautiously.

JustHost has the worst support & live chat support that is out there today. I do not believe that there live chat agents speak englsih fluently making it very difficult to understand what they are actually trying to say and to top it off they rarely give you a good answer. I have also had it happen several times where if i spoke to 3 different people I could easily get 3 different answers to a question. There email support is no batter, in fact may be just as bad as the live chat. I always get bounced around departments and very rarely does my question get answered leaving me very frustrated.

I have 17 domain names with JustHost and at some point over the past 365 days all of them have experienced serious downtime - not good for trying to run a business.

I would stay clear of JustHost and look in to some alternatives. I am currently switching to inmotion hosting - so far a much more enjoyable experience.

While JustHost is an inexpensive hosting service, you get what you pay for. I've spent too much time on support tickets for multiple JH sites that slowed down to a crawl due to server-wide changes they made without prior notification.

The time I spent cost me much more than the bit of savings my clients experienced for the hosting services. I would have been much better off going with a more reliable provider.

In addition, JustHost's affiliate program "mysteriously" awarded my commissions to someone else and they were inflexible about the hundreds of dollars they owed me... after I referred more than 20 accounts to them in the last two years. Bad form, JustHost!

They are very cheap.

But they are not unlimited - you have a limit on the amount of files you have - that includes emails (spams count against you). When you go over you're treated like a criminal and banned until you sort it out. Sometimes it goes down in certain areas around the world. That's ALL your websites. Their customer support is ok, they always reply quick even though it might be coorporate BS they reply with. Then they sneak the price up. That's why we had to leave them. It started so well..

I have been with JustHost for about 3 years now. I have multiple domains under them about 5. I have never really experienced down time maybe once or twice, but 9/10 my websites are always up. Sometimes they can run a bit slow but I feel thats because of 5 sites running off one hosting account so I expect this may happen as I don't pay for any upgraded servers.

I have never had problems with them at all, I can honestly say that. I have heard some mad stuff about what has gone on between customers and JustHost and I don't find it hard to believe but me personally have had a great experience with them. Infact only today I spoke to an online helper and they helped me solve a email problem within 15minutes.

I would recommend them to anyone and also do as I build websites for people and often use JustHost. I admit they are sneaky trying to add on prices to everything have tick boxes automatically ticked to buy extra things but at the end of the day if you have gone through and registered without looking carefully enough at everything then it's your own fault. JustHost I will always be loyal until I have a bad experience with you guys, which I hope never happens.

They overcharge you. They are quite sneaky. They charged me $4.95 a month when the website stated $3.45 a month. Then they added services I didn't want and didn't ask for. They grabbed the money out of my bank account instantaneously

When I called the support number, it just rang and rang.

The online support informed me that to cancel my order would take 1-2 hours. That was a lie.

I wrote to the billing department who sent me an automated response saying that it would be at least 48 hours before they could respond. This makes it clear they don't want to refund my money.

I wouldn't recommend them to someone unless I really hated that someone. I want my money back so I can get my website set up on a reputable host.

Unlimited does not mean unlimited. The first time one of my articles went viral on Digg, JustHost suspended my account for using more than 10% of its resources.

I was with JustHost for a few months, hosting my portfolio website.

The price for what I got spec-wise was fantastic, and the anytime money back guarantee was the icing on the cake.

However, especially after the first month or so, when I had added my site to Uptime Robot, I noticed my site would be down for sometimes hours on end several times a month.

My real problem with them, however, is their tech support. Whenever I confronted them about my site going down (every time they replied after it was back up), they denied all knowledge that it had ever been down (or were too stupid to know what was going on in the server room, I'm not sure which). I finally asked for the rest of my money back and left.

So, the features and price were great, I have to admit, but the uptime and service, save the refund, was pathetic.

You get what you pay for. Compared to the features (which most people probably dont need) the price is good. The service though is poor and the technical support rubbish!

The service main issue is reliability. Our prime customer acquisition is over weekends and on multiple occassions the mysql instance has been restarted without warning and now for the last 21 hours the servers are down because of file system check (note: same excuses). I can't for the life of me understand how big this file system is or how slow it is being checked.

Hidden charges! They offer free domain, but don't tell you they charge $20 if you cancel. No asterisk, nothing.

Further to my previous review. Today, about 7 months after moving to JustHost my sites went down. I expected the worst and got ready to jump ship. I sent an email asking what was going on. They responded instantly saying that they had updated the kernel, rebooted the machine, it was doing a file-system check, and would be back up shortly. Sure enough the sites came back on line. Everything was OK. Out of curiosity I sent an email asking if i would get a refund as they give a 99.9% uptime guarantee(knowing that the uptime was still better than 99.9%). We just switched to Just Host after having horrible problems with our previous host and I recommend them highly. We had a few issues when transferring over our domains - the support worked tirelessly to help and even sorted out the htaccess problems which we had caused which were causing problems with the sites display. Highly recommended for value and service.

Very difficult to find a support phone number on the JHsite. If you call, you get people who know nothing about Macs & tell you to e-mail. Then the e-mail people seem incapable of actually reading your e-mail & ask repetitive questions which your initial e-mail already answered. You can ask until you're blue in the face for them to CALL you to expedite the solution & likewise they won't tell you how to contact them by phone. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Their site has lots of popups, a fake live person, hard to find live chat or phone number, but I sign up anyway and ask if they have ssh, then after putting in the money they tell me it costs like $30/month.

There's ads on the cpanel and popups on the site. It's really run like a scam. I quit after less than an hour on it. Sounded too good to be true at $3.95/mo for all that; it was.

I should have been more suspicious when he (Ian) said I could use as much ram and cpu as I wanted. We'll see how long it takes to get 100% of my money back.
