Well, I was a customer of MagmaHost until today. My site has been running fine, then all of a sudden out of nowheres, lastnight my site went down. I didn't think nothing of it at first, let it go. Few hours later, still down... I submitted a support ticket and it went unanswered.... Here we are 24 hours later and still no reply... I emailed, sent Skype messages and tickets. No reply. I asked for a US server and they put me on a UK server. Here is the IP of the server they put me on: 62.19.47.50. It pulls to a UK address... The IP is currently down. So I switched to another host. So far hostgator has been awesome... Live support is actually LIVE and ticket response time is quick. So to Magmahost, I say this to you: Get your act together. Just because you're not a US based business you can get in trouble for not providing what you advertise. Thanks for the few weeks you were a good host. Now your crap.

To people needing hosting: Look around for stuff about Magmahost. They are really trash... Every few months they just go nuts and everyone loses, except them cause they got your money... Choose someone else...

Thank heavens this is only used by me for a test server - the server is down more often than not, and since the start of August has been down for 5 days (in August) and since 15th September.

An appalling level of customer support from magmahost.com - they do not respond to emails or support tickets. The telephone number provided on their website has not belonged to them since January 2010 (at least).

I have reported them to trading standards as they still appear to be a UK limited company (Magamhost Limited) and suggest other unsatisfied customers also refer them to trading standards.

Interesting if you try paying an invoice through PayPal - it uses a different account, which PayPal has closed anyway. I just wish the other payment providers would follow the same course and stop this company taking any more money.

I signed up around 3:00am on 4.24/10 and paid for my six months hosting through Paypal. I received my Paypal receipt but never received any hosting details. 12hrs went by and no hosting details were sent to me so I posted a ticket in support via their website. Since 12 hrs had passed and haven't received a reply I posted a cancel my account ticket because they failed to give me the hosting I paid for.

A day later and still no reply from support so I emailed them and posted another ticket stating if I didn't hear anything from them I will contact Paypal. On 4/27/10 they sent me a bogus email stating that they have received no response from my cancellation ticket. They did that an attempt to cover their tracks and make it look like the problem is on my end.

The problem is I paid for hosting through Paypal, they got paid in full for six months of hosting and gave me nothing. They never even bothered to reply on why they didn't setup my account and give me my hosting details. Plain and simple they commited a "fraud" took my money and didn't give me what I paid for.

Do yourself a favor and aggravation don't buy hosting from this company(Magmahost). They don't communicate with customers even though the price was good they suck a__! As far as their support I never got that far. But having to deal with their non-existent sales dept I'd say they suck A__ too! Overall rating of them a big fat "0".

I guess all pro magmahost reviews are somehow from it's own stuff because the truth is that magmahost sucks big time - the livin proof is that I am waisting my time to write a review against them after I've struggled for 3 weeks to have my tickets solved - now I fear that I will get scammed for my seo indexed domain as they don't respond to my domain transfer requests.

Don't even bother to try them! You'll lose time and money ... maybe only if you have some killing server script that you don't want to run to your "good" hosting.

Just to make myself clear unsolved tickets were not my only issue. I had my websites down, have them moved around without prior notice(that hearts my seo), I have been billed 4 months earlier and no response for my requests about what was the invoice for - had to pay it eitherway cuz my website was suspended ... so I'm runnig out of time but all the bad a hosting company can do to you has been done from magmahost.

I have hosted quite a few websites on Magmahost.com they have improving great support. The host is very generous and help customers to resolve problems away beyond.

Technically support is 24/7, but its sadly not exactly 24/7, though you get answer in on average of ~30 to ~60 mins.. kinda good enough with dirt cheap reseller accounts plans.

I personally liked it and would love to see them grow far better.. only thing which part of concern, is their domain is expiring around 10-Oct-2010, but i hope they will renew it for few more years..

I am very thankful to Magmahost.com which allowed me my first hands on experience on Reseller hosting...

The price and feature offered is awesome. The stability is reliable. Support does great help too. This is a great choice if you are short on budget or just want to host a very small scale site.
